Labor closely with artists in the presentation of new work and solo exhibitions 5. Lismore Regional Gallery’s program reflects the social, historical, original and cultural aspects of the region. The first floor will showcase curated exhibitions, touring exhibitions and a dedicated gallery for the lasting collection. Lismore Regional Gallery is committed to developing a mighty program of offside projects. Miller has a background in producing works for the gallery but increasingly develops living sculptures’ using live animals and most recently participants and the audience, making his practice very distinct. BARNRAISER (2013), the beginning iteration of this busy project, saw a insignificant community living and busy within the festival grounds for the duration of the festival, one of Australia's largest music, arts and youth festivals. Brings together calm fifes, flimsy drawings, figures and faces Creating a presence that is more than honest the seen. As the name suggests Trading Place is an interactive Art installation that trades objects and artworks from one deposit for another place. In 2014 Lismore Regional gallery ran Duo: Learning the ropes a program that presented 5 young people with unique oneonone sessions with a professional artist as a mentoring and ingenious exchange that culminated into an exhibition of the artworks created during the program. An exhibition which investigates individual perceptions of the aware experience. At night gaps in what we see are filled with atmosphere and forms from our imagination. Unite the artist for drinks and a talk at the opening of the exhibition Not a Pretty Picture. A release day of art, conversation, music and stories reflecting on the relationship of art, activism, and living according to one's beliefs. Join the artists in Retracing Bundjalung National Park in a discussion about the landscape and memory and the processes after their work. Like many regional collections throughout the country, the Lismore Art Prize was an impetus to develop an art collection of national standing. Here there is a dedicated gallery space for other key works from the permanent collection. The new Lismore Regional Gallery building will include purpose built storage facility, and a gallery space dedicated to showing works from the Collection. Reflect the labor of local important and emerging artists. Include meaningful works about the Northern Rivers by stylish or preceding artists. Reflect and explore the region’s cultural, artistic and social diversity, including its important indigenous culture and heritage. Lismore Regional Gallery is committed to supporting students and educators to further enhance their learning skills in critical thinking, self expression and applied knowledge whilst embracing new ideas relating to arts and culture. The Lismore Regional Gallery aims to invest art, culture and creativity into regional communities and to foster and help people to access a broad range of arts and cultural experiences and to prosper their own arts and cultural practices. Lismore Regional Gallery has an active group of Friends of the Gallery. Maximum interpretive material for exhibitions is in the form of wall text.
